ZFX's latest release in 2001 is a video called Phallicide, which sets up its one threadbare story in the first few minutes, then follows it up with a series of bondage and torture scenes until the story kicks in again during the last few minutes.
As the story begins, a young reporter is traveling out to an abandoned building to interview a serial rapist/killer, dubbed the "Phallic Killer" for his trademark of leaving a phallic object lodged in the asses of all his victims, those being pretty, young women. Seeing that the reporter is herself a pretty, young woman, and that the killer has requested she come alone, and wear something sexy, it doesn't take a great guessing game to figure out what's going to happen to her once she reaches that building.
The reporter is played by ZFX newcomer Talia Winter, a pigtailed brunette with a nice body, and the Phallic Killer is Travis Lee, veteran of several fine ZFX features, most notably as Otis in the "Night Prowler" series. Here he is totally unrecognizable in a rubber Halloween mask, and says not a single word throughout the entire video. The only way I could tell it was him? His name was in the credits.
Anyway, Talia is predictably grabbed by Lee (Stupid bitch! What did she think would happen?), who sneaks up from behind to slap on the handcuffs, then gags her with a stocking that he also wraps around her neck to choke her into submission. He pulls up her top and fondles the now unconscious girl before preparing for the good stuff.
Talia awakens to find herself standing with her wrists tied over her head to the ceiling, still cleave-gagged with the stocking. She sees Lee standing nearby, rubbing his own crotch area in anticipation. He approaches her with a knife, which he uses to cut open her bra, while she cries in muffled protest. Slowly stripping, slapping and fondling the girl, he has some fun smacking her ass while she helplessly hangs like a piece of meat. Then he decides to torture her by applying clothespins to each of her nipples, and some to her pussy lips, as well. As is his fashion, ZFX director Rick Masters shoots the action from several different angles, giving us a voyeuristic thrill.
The next scene has Talia tied in a new way, with her wrists now behind her but still tied to the ceiling, and the clothespins still in place on her nipples. A rope has been pulled up between her pussy lips and tied tightly at her waist. Lee replaces the thin and ineffective stocking gag with a red ballgag, and now takes a whip and goes to work on her. With her panties pulled down around her ankles, she can only take baby steps to avoid the cracks of the whip, as Lee thoroughly lashes every part of her body. The clothespins are removed, but only so he can now whip away at her sore nipples, as she reacts with several painful screams. It's a typically harsh and brutal whipping scene, which ZFX has long since perfected.
Next, Lee has Talia tied standing to a metal frame, still ballgagged, and with her legs spread apart, her wrists tied off to each side. Lee approaches with a battery charger, using the two clamps to apply several shocks onto her bare nipples and pussy. It's a fun scene, and Talia's a good screamer. Lee then stops to finger her pussy, making it nice and moist, then gives her an extra long jolt onto this most sensitive area. Pussy juice must make a good conductant
The following scene has Talia tied sitting against a wall; her legs are opened up embarrassing wide and tied high off to each side. Now spent, Lee takes a break and rests over against the wall. What is it they say about guys going to sleep right after they cum? Bad call on this one. Talia takes this opportunity to free herself from the ropes while he snoozes, then takes Lee's knife and, in her best Lorena Bobbitt mode, slices off Lee's pecker with it. She runs off while he collapses in a bloody mess. He dies, she becomes a best-selling author, and the viewer races to the toilet to get sick after watching that ending
Phallicide is good minor league ZFX; with just one victim and a running time well below an hour, it's not as ambitious as other previous projects. Its plot begins as another variation of the earlier, better Guilty, but pretty much abandons its attempt at storytelling once Talia gets grabbed. From then until its nasty ending, it's a series of well-directed setpieces, nicely acted by both performers, but could have used some good threatening dialogue to give it some edge. Talia Winter is pretty and plays her victim role well, but I would definitely lose the pigtails (That's my opinion, but then it's my review). Phallicide has most of what you would expect from ZFX, and it's a formula that works once again in this tape.
